Mosses from an Old Manse

Mosses from an Old Manse

USD $ 2,99

Written in the damp Concord parsonage where Emerson had lived before him, Mosses from an Old Manse gathers more than twenty of Nathaniel Hawthorne's finest tales and allegories: a scientist who cannot bear the small birthmark on his wife's cheek, a man who steps out of his life for twenty years to watch it from across the street, a garden whose beauty is deadly. Descended from a judge of the Salem witch trials, Hawthorne made these dark parables his laboratory. This edition presents the complete and unabridged collection, newly typeset and illustrated with 50 full-page color plates.

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Autor

Nathaniel Hawthorne (Salem, Massachusetts, 1804-Plymouth, New Hampshire, 1864) fue autor de novelas como The Scarlet Letter (1850), The House of the Seven Gables (1851) y The Blithedale Romance (1852).
