"The Seven Vagabonds (From "Twice Told Tales")" by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a short story vignette that allows readers a peek into the mind of one of America's most beloved authors. In this tale, Hawthorne particularly focuses on the role the artist plays in an ever-changing world. At the time of its publication, fiction writers were only just beginning to earn respect in their careers, thus, the future seemed bright for those who make art into their life.

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Autor

Nathaniel Hawthorne (Salem, Massachusetts, 1804-Plymouth, New Hampshire, 1864) fue autor de novelas como The Scarlet Letter (1850), The House of the Seven Gables (1851) y The Blithedale Romance (1852).
