The Tellings contains two interesting and different story arcs that merge somewhat towards the end. The first "telling" is about Lucifer, his Satanic Majesty, while in Hell, he tells all the world's demons about his hellish history. Lucifer also tells of his wish to have a second Hell in a valley town that will be "cleansed" of its human residents, about which they know nothing. The second "telling" is about two wretched-looking demons, who Lucifer sent to a human town to gather light bulbs to light up Hell. They manage to electrocute themselves trying to get their first bulb, and then they can be seen. Along their travels, they meet a daughter of goddess who helps them. Later, they somehow become TV stars with their own show on the telly.
