Lisa is an unassuming girl who is bullied at school and doesn't get much attention at home. Anxious and unhappy, she seeks comfort in books, especially her favorite book about the exploits of Hercules. One day, she finds herself in a fantastical dream world, clad in a lion's skin just like Hercules. There, she must perform her own heroic deeds, overcome terrifying monsters, and survive dangerous situations. Each of these heroic deeds is a lesson, and each one changes her a little bit. The braver and wiser she becomes in the fantasy world, the more her real life changes as well.
